What is a Baron?

The Barony of Hidden Mountain represents the eastern portion of South Carolina, if you live east of Interstate 95, you are in the Barony of Hidden Mountain.

The barony is part of the Kingdom of Atlantia which includes most of the coastal states from Maryland to South Carolina with a small border outpost in the area around Augusta, Georgia. Check out this Kingdom of Atlantia video to see a bit about us.

Within the barony there are three subgroups (cantons) whose members not only participate in baronial events but also in their own local activities.

The Canton of Tear-Sea’s Shore covers the metropolitan Charleston area (Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties).  If you need more information, contact the canton’s seneschal, Baron Ingvar Erlingsson

The Canton of Misty Marsh by the Sea is located in the metropolitan Florence area.  Contact the canton’s seneschal for more information.  Lord Pippin the Red.

The Canton of Moorhaven comprises Myrtle Beach, Conway and surrounding areas of coastal South Carolina.  Contact the canton’s seneschal is,  Lady Esme Bramley

You can always look up your zip code here, and find out which group you belong in.  Or, use this interactive map of the SCA.
